Realisation Dudok

The progress of Dudok aan het Diep is impressive. The outlines of our plan and the future quality are becoming increasingly clear. We are looking forward to seeing the results.

Opening of the new swimming pool

The square in front of the new swimming pool, De Stamper in Vriezenveen, is nearly completed. The swimming pool is already open, and the final touches are being made to the landscaping.

1850 new homes for Sliedrecht

With great enthusiasm, we are collaborating with Atelier Dutch on the master plan for 1,850 homes in Sliedrecht. This project brings together various ambitions and aims for a sustainable, climate-resilient, and nature-friendly development. The neighbourhood will shape the new urban edge of Sliedrecht with an open connection to the landscape.

Factory visit

At Marseille Buiten, we're not only adept at crafting plans but also at gaining knowledge outside the design studio. Recently, we visited Struyk Verwo Infra in Amsterdam to learn about concrete products and their manufacturing process. It's inspiring to see the concrete industry making strides towards sustainability and involving designers like us wherever possible.

Marseille Buiten designs the Wadden promenade

The Gemeente Harlingen has selected Marseille Buiten for the design of the Wadden promenade and a portion of the Long-term Parking Area. It's an exciting task in a fantastic location. The current Wadden promenade handles around 800,000 travelers to Vlieland and Terschelling annually, but it's worn out and unattractive. The challenge is to elevate it to a high-quality public space and improve the narrow connection to the parking area. We're excited to take on this project!

Utrecht in 20 years

On November 9th, Jeroen Marseille participated in discussions about the Urban Planning Vision for Utrecht. How can we ensure that Utrecht is not just a city in 20 years, but a home, a workplace, and a vibrant living environment? During the interactive session, various identities of Utrecht were explored and how they could be integrated into the city's development. Speakers and group leaders included Sanneke van Wijk, urban planner at the Gemeente Utrecht , Anne Seghers from RUIMTEVOLK, Jeroen Marseille from Marseille Buiten Casper Schuuringfrom MONK architecten, Wim Voogt from OKRA landscape architects, like bijlsma from Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving (PBL) and Frank van Mil from Regio Hart van Brabant. The moderation was led by dr. Lisa Peters.

Welcome Thijs!

Starting this week, Marseille Buiten is a team of six! Thijs Klein Ovink joins us, bringing his experience in design and the intersection between landscape architecture and urban planning. Welcome aboard, Thijs!

Participatie de Heuvel

Jeroen Marseille and Lindy Beuk presented our design for the Heuvel in the Gemeente Gilze en Rijen aan bewoners. Deze historische plek, midden in Gilze, was ooit een plek waar ‘s nachts de schapen werden neergezet, waar een waterbron was, een beestenmarkt, een parkje, het voorterrein van een klooster en de laatste jaren het podium voor carnaval.
Since 2019, our office has been working on this task around the now completed school OBS De Wildschut and after this evening for residents, we can continue with the finalization of the plan. A solid landscaping plan, a school playground, a residential square, an area around the new housing development and a rearrangement of parking. We can't wait to start implementing this plan!
