Office

Jeroen Marseille has been working as a designer and project leader for outdoor projects since 2000. His office, founded in 2012, is specialised in the design of public space. The focus is on an integrated approach, with quality of life, climate resilience and manufacturability.

Since completing his studies in Architectural Design and the Master Urban Interior Design, Jeroen has been working on projects in the outdoor space. At Karres en Brands landscape architects he developed himself from 2000 till 2010 as projectleader-designer of mainly public space projects. Between 2010 and 2012 he continued this work at Strootman Landscape Architects. Due to these years of experience he can work on different scale levels in the outdoor space; that of the object and that of the landscape itself.

Vision

In his designs, it is always visible that the users take centre stage. Designs must be functional, but they must also appeal to the human scale and add something to the place in the city or landscape. This addition makes the place special, but at the same time, it is always reserved and subdued.
A design for public space is only successful if it still functions as well after several years as when it was completed. Of course, there will always be signs of wear and tear, but the main components should still stand.
The quality of materials and details is therefore of great importance and can only be achieved if there is a good relationship and communication between the designer and the executing parties. This is precisely where Jeroen Marseille has proven himself as a designer and project leader in recent years.
