The Company for Work, Reintegration, and Income (BWRI) is an organization that provides guidance for job seekers and temporary income support. BWRI's three former locations have now been consolidated into one new building next to the Oude Winschoterdiep. On the west side, we designed a green, welcoming entrance area, and on the east side, a purely functional and logistical square.
The green entrance area accommodates parking for cars, taxi buses, and bicycles. Additionally, BWRI can use the space for activities such as gardening, exercise, or taking breaks. We laid out several long lines across the site that align with the structural piers of the building’s facade. Between these lines, we created alternating green and paved sections, featuring lawns, wadi’s, and perennial plantings.
The plan is tailored to BWRI’s own maintenance capabilities, making it an ideal testing and learning environment.
