On a triangular site southwest of Groningen's city centre, De Zwarte Hond designed an urban development plan for 80 ground-level houses and 21 flats. The site is wedged between an existing residential area and the busy Europaweg. Our plan creates three shells of public space, each with its own character. The outer shell opens up the area and provides enough space for parking, while preserving the existing trees. In the middle shell lies the central square. The inner garden is designed with lush planting, a wadi and play facilities.
