In the existing park Zijdelwaard, next to primary school ’t Startnest, a multifunctional accommodation Zijdelwaard is built. This creates new functions for the park, both during the day and in the evening. It enhances the much desired social security here.
Around the new building we designed a playground in symbiosis with the surrounding park. The border between the two is not clearly delineated, which makes the general character of the playground green while there is still also relatively much hardened space. Undulating green zones organise the space and steer bikers and groupage traffic. Wooden playground equipment contributes to an image of natural play.
