Fiege – Zaandam

HoogTij is an ambitious business park along the North Sea Canal. Fiege's new distribution centre requires a highly functional site. The loading docks need to be accessible for all trucks. There is a fairly substantial parking are, buffer tanks and manoeuvring areas.

Palazzo asked us to think along in adding as much green quality as possible. In close consultation with the Q-team HoogTij, a plan emerged that has a garden-like quality at the pedestrian entrances as a counterbalance to the large scale. It provides a landscape response to the adjacent polder on the north side, and binds the length of the site with a diverse hedge.
